This combination is ideal for travelers who want the best of Kenya in one trip.
You will experience the drama of the Mara with its Big Five and wide open plains and then relax by the warm Indian Ocean where palm trees sway and the coral reefs invite you to explore.

Day 0: Arrival in Nairobi
Your journey begins when you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
I will meet you at arrivals welcome you and arrange a comfortable transfer to your hotel.
If you arrive early and feel energetic we can take a short orientation walk visit a café to sample Kenyan coffee or do a brief city introduction.
Most guests prefer to rest after their flight so they are ready for an early start on the following morning.
That evening I will confirm pickup time and go over final details so you feel prepared for the safari ahead.
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

We will depart Nairobi early after breakfast and head towards the Masai Mara.
The drive is scenic and offers insight into Kenya’s varied landscapes as we cross the Rift Valley and travel through farmland and small towns.
I will pause at a viewpoint so you can photograph the deep valley views and breathe in the fresh air.

By midday we will arrive at the Masai Mara where the plains open in every direction.
After checking into our lodge or tented camp we will have a short rest and then set out for an afternoon game drive.
The Masai Mara is luminous in the late afternoon light.
We will search for lions elephants leopards buffalo and rhinos and keep an eye out for cheetahs which often use termite mounds as lookouts.

I will share my knowledge about animal behavior track identification and the seasonal rhythms that shape life on the plains.
As we watch herds move and predators scan the horizon you will feel the pulse of the wild.
We return to camp for dinner and a night under the stars with the sounds of the bush all around.
Day 2: Full day Masai Mara

I encourage you to wake before dawn for a sunrise game drive because those hours are some of the most rewarding.
The light is soft the animals are active and the chance of seeing dramatic behavior is high.
We will spend the morning following leads and observing animals in depth so you understand their social dynamics and survival strategies.

At midday we will return to the lodge for lunch and time to rest by the pool or to sort through photographs.
In the afternoon we are back in the field exploring a different sector of the reserve.
The Mara contains a variety of habitats from rolling grasslands to riverine thickets each supporting distinct wildlife communities.

If the migration is passing through and the timing works we may see herds of wildebeest and zebra moving in large numbers and perhaps witness a river crossing which is always a spectacular sight.
We finish the day with sundowner drinks in a scenic spot and head back to camp for dinner and a relaxed evening.
